Hi, I’m Nicole – your dog’s new best friend.

I’m Nicole, the owner at Aspen's Canine Academy. My passion for training began in 2020 when I successfully trained my standard poodle, Aspen, as my service dog. Since then, I’ve paired my background in Psychology with a master’s course from CATCH Canine Trainer’s Academy to help owners, like you, understand and communicate with their pets.

I have developed a training ideology that focuses on relationship before obedience. I believe the reason for misbehavior is due to a lack of understanding, not spite. Your dog does not have the capability to seek revenge when you leave them home for a few hours. Those chewed up shoes you found are an expression of frustration, boredom, or pent-up energy. I want to show dog owners the real reasons behind their dog's behavior, how to manage it, and, most importantly, how to teach them otherwise. By understanding what they are communicating, we can address problems correctly from the start. Communication opens the doors for trust and confidence between you and your dog. Not only that, you can set them up for success in training, allowing it to "click" faster, last longer, and be just as fun as a game of fetch.
